About All Saints Anglican Church
There is only one Christ, so there can only be one Body of Christ, one Church. Christ is the vine, and we are the branches, for we can do nothing without Him. (John 15:5)
We are, then, that household of Christ’s own Church that was founded
in the First Century in Apostolic times, in that part of the world that
became England. Because of this ancient history we are called “Anglican”
– our roots are in England.
By God’s grace we have been a household of Christ’s Church for
some two thousand years, seeking to remain steadfast in the Apostles’
doctrine
and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread and in our prayers.
This means that we are a Scriptural Church, living our lives according to
the model of the Scriptures, teaching only those things that can be positively
concluded from the words of the Holy Bible. Our beliefs
today are the same beliefs held by the first Christians, who had been taught
by Jesus Christ Himself and His Apostles.
Moreover, we are pledged to be a missionary and teaching Church, living
out our commitment to Christ’s great Commission: …to go and
teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you. (Matt. 28:19 – 20)
While we are an ancient Church, we are not a static Church, nor are we self-content.
For as St. Paul taught, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of
God (Romans 3:23). Therefore, since Christ is our standard, we know that
we must be self-critical and humble before God, letting Him work in our
lives.
An American Church
While proud of our ancient history, we are a thoroughly American Church
and devoted to this country, which God has given us. We began worshipping
Almighty God in English on this continent when our nation was founded, first
as missionaries from England and later as native sons.
The heritage of our Prayer Book can be traced back to the
very first English Prayer book, published in 1549. Ours is the 1928 American
edition – the result of several revisions of the original, which occurred
both in
England and in America. Many of our Founding Fathers, including the signers
of the Declaration of Independence, were members; and, following their tradition,
we continue to love and serve our Country, for Christ’s sake, right
down to the present day.
Our Bounden Duty
Our Prayer Book Catechism teaches that it is my Bounden Duty to follow Christ,
to worship God every Sunday in His Church, and to work and pray
and give for the spread of His Kingdom. Those few words describe a life
of obedience to God, including study of the Scriptures, self-discipline,
self-sacrifice, loyalty, and work for the spread of God’s Kingdom.
Those words also describe a life of happiness, freedom, power, fulfillment,
and love.
If you desire such a life, we are ready to share ours with you. In any event,
you are always welcome to visit with us and to join us in worshipping Almighty
God. We do not claim to be the only true branch of
Christ’s Church. What we do claim is our commitment to the fullness
of Christ’s Gospel Religion and the practical experience of two thousand
years of work intended to hold up Jesus Christ as our only Lord and Savior.
This is who we are. This is what we offer.
All Saints Church in Sahuarita / Green Valley, Arizona is a mission of the
Diocese of the West, part of the Anglican Church in America. The Vicar's
position is currently vacant. We have approximately 15 members (plus a winter
"snow bird" body of 2 to 6 on Sundays) and a committed core of
dedicated vestry.
As of November 24, 2008, Bishop Daren K. Williams has appointed
Bishop Hudson as Bishop-in-Charge at All Saints' Anglican Church, Green
Valley, Arizona, while the search continues for a replacement.

We invite you to worship with us. Our beliefs are based on the teaching of the Bible and the ancient creeds of the Church. The center of our liturgical worship is the Holy Eucharist. By the readings, prayers, and the very sacrament itself, we learn about God, ourselves, and our relationship to one another.
Our ways are ancient and our faith is unchanging. We stand on the rock of Jesus Christ as He has been made known to us in the teachings of the Holy Apostles, the Holy Bible, and the Holy Church. We stand on this rock in the midst of the turbulent sea of the ever-changing world around us, and we offer you this firm foundation in order that you may have that peace which the world cannot give: the peace of God which passes all understanding.
